One of the most favored tools of self defense is pepper spray. It is used in various ways. So you have mace pepper spray, pepper shot ½ oz, or pepper spray Tri-pack but the basic objective is the same, preventing an attacker from attacking you.

It is well known that there is no 100% effective defense article but these defense articles are quite effective as preventives. You should however use the pepper sprays quite sparingly and only when your life is in danger. You cannot use pepper sprays for malicious motives and it is a crime under the existing law of the land to do so for which you may be penalized.

Unlike the stun guns such as the Stun master 625,000 volt that requires physical contact to be effective, pepper sprays do not require any contact. Rather they require that you should assess the distance between you and the attacker properly so that the spray you throw is effective on the object. And all the time keep watch on your target since the pepper spray could take a couple of seconds before the reaction starts and a fast intruder could cause problems during that short span even.

Suppose you are having a mace pepper spray and you wish to use it against the intruder. The operation is simple. Just aim at the eyes and face of the attacker and release a couple of second burst, move away and keep your eyes on the threat. The keyword is “spray and move”, neutralize the threat and call for help.
